- Shagya – Western
I’ve found that as a “Breed” the Shagya is a versatile riding and/or driving horse who tends to have a wonderful character, is willing and level headed, and has the gaits and the conformation required for modern day performance horses. Shagyas do well in dressage, jumping, eventing, driving, western sports, endurance riding and competitive trail riding.

Often the same horse is often used for a variety of sports under saddle, for driving and for pleasure riding. They are suitable for adult riders as well as children.
